Sorcery of Thorns tied up a lot of loose ends with a nice little bow, but I feel like everything came to a close very quickly and a little too conveniently. However, that eventually fell off with all of the fighting that was going on. I think the reason I initially grew attached to Nathaniel and Elisabeth as a couple was because of their banter. Sometimes, it felt like the pacing was off or there wasn't a connection. The romance between Nathaniel and Elisabeth wasn't my favorite thing to read, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. The idea of books with souls and emotions was so entertaining for me, and I didn't want to leave the confines of this book's pages. I absolutely adored the world-building, and the descriptions of the libraries made my reader's heart happy. I was initially concerned that this would be a slow book, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
